Hi parents,

 

The Novice Home Tournament February 22-23 is fast approaching. Our tournament committee is working hard to organize a fun weekend for everyone involved. A few things to note:

 

1. The tournament schedule is nearly finalized. You can expect to see game times soon from your team manager.

 

2. Raffle Table Donations

An exciting part of the tournament is always the raffle table. If able, we encourage you to consider donating an item(s) to put toward the table's success. Feel free to approach family or friends' businesses within your "circle" for donations. We just ask that no blanket donation requests are made of local businesses. Each player has already given $10 to supplement donations or tournament initiatives, so any further contributions are voluntary but very much appreciated!!

 

Ideas include: hockey related items, childrens' toys, gift baskets, gift certificates... really any variety of things that may appeal to our players (boys and girls) and their parents, siblings and fans.

 

Christine Wedrick (Team Green) must know by Friday, February 7, if you have or plan to make a donation. You must include:

- Item Description

- Item Value

- Sponsor/Who is donating

 

 

Raffle items will be collected by Christine the week prior to the tournament (February 17-21). Earlier arrangements can be made if need be.

 

3. Volunteer Schedule

All parents will be required to help in the tournament's success - whether that be running the time clock, selling 50/50 tickets, etc. Many hands make lighter work! The volunteer shift schedule will be shared soon.

 

Please remember the goal of the weekend is to have a lot of fun! Profits raised from our tournament also help fund the away tournaments our novice teams have entered this year.
