U11 B/C Team selection process skate #1

Our first team selection evening for B/C team is tomorrow Monday October 5 6:15pm-7:30pm, below is information on how the evening will run. If you have questions please let me know. 

Please arrive OUTSIDE 25-30 mins prior to ice time (we can not enter the arena until our designated time)  the arena users entrance at the SRC, I will be there with a check in sheet and will assign you a jersey and change room.   Once you get your jersey you will KEEP it until the 2nd night of tryouts. Do not return your jersey after the first night, take it with you and bring it back for the 2nd skate on Wednesday. 

When your ice session has been finished please ensure your player has left the dressing room within 10 minutes and remember we need to ensure we are following the SRC policies. Players are not to leave the dressing room or enter the benches prior to game until the on ice instructors have told them to. You must not wait for your child in the lobby, have them meet you outside on the green space after the game, parents are only permitted to be on the bleachers, no loitering in the lobby.

They will partake in a 75 minute skate. 20 mins of warm up/skills drills, followed by a 2 min break (please bring water bottles and space them distanced apart on the bench spaced out with your skaters name clearly marked, 25 mins of game , 2 minutes break and another 25 min game. We will be running 1 minute 25 second buzzer to ensure equal ice time. The SMHA board has worked very hard to find evaluators who have no affiliation with U11, once they have made their decisions you will be contacted by myself.

For anyone that is unable to attend Team Selection Skates due to illness or COVID Protocol (if you haven't been able to attend school due to symptoms you also are unable attend the selection skates) If you are feeling unwell and DO NOT pass the daily checklist you MUST stay home.

Please remember that the same SRC rules apply to these sessions as in the past few weeks.
-No congregating in the lobby
-10 skaters per dressing room
-Cannot enter the building more then 20 minutes before your ice session (dress at home or in the parking lot if needed)
-Must be out of the dressing room 10 minutes after your ice session is over.
