Team Selection Information

Greeting all U18 players, parents and guardians,

At this time SMHA is trying to create 2 - U18 teams for the 2020/21 season.  In order to make this feasible we require interested and committed players to register and be placed on the waitlist by 11pm on October 15^th.

 If we are successful in having 30 players that are interested and committed then there will be a team selection scheduled for the weekend of October 17^th and 18^th.  There would be a non-refundable try out fee of $60.  If there are players that would like to be placed on the second “B” team they can opt out of the try out and that would need to be declared upon registration.

If we are unsuccessful in having 30 players, then there will need to be a team selection for players that were registered with SMHA prior to the deadline of Sept. 21^st.  If you are a late registrant you would not be a part of this team selection process.  A complete roster is made up of 17 skaters and 2 goalies.  SMHA will work with players that may be “cut” from a single team scenario in finding a team that they could possibly play with for the 2020/21 season.  Players that are “cut” would also receive a refund minus an administration fee.  There would be no team selection fee if there is only going to be 1 - U18 team.  This team selection would also take place the weekend of the 17^th and 18^th. 

Reach out to former players, or players that feel they may have missed the registration deadline, let’s get U18 strong and back to 2 teams.  Bring on the STORM!
