Masks/Dressing rooms-update re:exemptions

Hello U9 parents, coaches, managers and players. It has been brought to our attention concerns reported from AHS about masks not being worn while in change rooms. As per hockey Alberta updated government rules September 2021:

“Face masks are not required by any player while engaged in physical activity (on the ice or on the players’ bench).
b) Face masks are not required by coaches or on-ice officials on the ice surface during physical activity.
c) Face masks are required by coaches and team staff while on the bench, and by all penalty/
timekeeping staff.
d) Face masks are required by everyone while in a dressing room.”

*Please note* we do have a few kids with exemptions for masks in novice. Please be kind if you are unsure and donot single any one individual out. If you do have an exemption please provide copy to Bobby or myself so that we can provide evidence in the case of an AHS investigation. Thank-you. 

Please try to keep your mask on in change room up until helmets are on and you are heading out to ice. 

Also for everyone’s information we are only able to secure two dressing rooms at a time for our games. The arena has graciously allowed us to snag extras IF they are available. However during tournament weekends etc this is not always feasible. We are open to suggestions on managing the congestion in locker rooms if anyone has ideas please let Bobby or I know. Otherwise I have to ask that anyone able to please come already dressed for games when possible to minimize congestion please do so. Also now due to concerns brought forward we must insist that coaches are the ONLY parents in dressing rooms moving forward for ALL games. 

We are all trying to do our best to keep our kids on the ice and we are all in this together. Thanks for your assistance everyone!
