Important Reminders
Hello U9 Families,
I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend! Just a couple of reminders:
1) It is important that you commit to practices with your same grouping throughout the whole month of October. It is confusing for the coaches if your child skates in the wrong grouping as they are trying to evaluate your players. Please follow the birth year/color on the schedule unless other arrangements were made for your player before we started practices last week.
2) Medical Forms- i need a medical form on file for every player on the ice, if you have not filled out and submitted your form yet please do so. You can find them here > Medical Forms. Please either fill out online and email to me at stettlerstormu9@gmail.com or print it out and hand it in to me in person at one of our upcoming practices.
3) Volunteer Cheques- Each SMHA family is required to complete 8 volunteer hours during the season. You will be required to provide a post dated (March 31st 2025) volunteer cheque in the amount of $200. If your hours ARE completed your cheque will NOT be cashed. Right now you can achieve your hours by selling bacon! Sell 7 boxes for half your hours sell 13 and you will have completed your hours.
4) Cash Call- I will also be collecting a cash call of $120 for our upcoming home tournament in February. $100 will go to cover your team's tournament. $20 will go to cover our raffle table at our tournament. IF we make enough at our tournament the cash calls of $100 will be returned. Cash Call can be sent by e-transfer to stettlerstormu9@gmail.com please put your child's name in the comments of the transfer. Each team will be entered into one away tournament.
***There is potential for a second away tournament which would result in a second cash call and must be discussed with entire team, managers and coaches***
I will be at the rink this Saturday morning for the 9:15am Practice i will come 30 mins early and will be in the lobby to collect cheques and forms.
