Mid-Season Review Results
As you may remember, SMHA ran a Mid-Season Review from December 10-23 to gather feedback on the season so far. We received 165 responses - far exceeding last year’s response rate - and heard from families across all age divisions and teams. Thank you to everyone who took time to share their thoughts!
While no survey captures every experience, the results do provide a helpful snapshot of how things are going. Satisfaction from those who responded was high, and much of the feedback was very positive. This is thanks in large part to the hard work of our coaches, managers, directors and other volunteers.
As a Board, we’re committed to building on what’s working well, addressing concerns where we can, and providing a quality experience for our players and families. A summary of team-specific feedback (both positive and constructive) has been shared with each coaching staff for consideration through the remainder of the season.
Key Board takeaways include:
- Supporting coach and manager development
- Continuing to offer goalie and player development opportunities
- Working with Town of Stettler on external ice bookings to minimize impacts to SMHA
- Reviewing player evaluation and coach selection processes to improve transparency
