Exhibition Games

Each U11 - U18 team is allowed to host 2 HOME exhibition games per season and may attend 2 AWAY exhibition games per season. Home exhibition games must be completed by the end of the respective league Christmas Break. Away exhibition games may be completed at any time during the season.

 

** Participating in an Exhibition Game is a multi-step process, as outlined below. Turnaround time from application to final permit can take up to 5 days during high traffic times of the season. Please be patient. **

The team manager must apply and obtain Board Approval to host or attend an exhibition game. If applying for an AWAY game, this approval is all you require. 

Once Board approval has been received, team manager must contact the SMHA Ice Allocator (iceallocator@stettlerminorhockey.com) to secure ice times available to host a HOME game.

A Hockey Alberta Sanction Number is required when hosting a non-league game. HOME teams must request and acquire said sanction number by completing the form above. Once the Sanction Number is processed, a confirmation email will be sent directly from Hockey Alberta to the email address provided in the request form. 

 

**Please Note: Travel Permits are mandatory for any exhibition games hosted outside of the province as well as all tournaments / festivals that a team attends.
