October Schedule/ Important Information

Thank you everyone for such a wonderful first night of hockey! It was so great seeing all the smiling faces on the ice and all the family members out and excited to watch their players.

Just wanted to touch base on a few quick items before we meet again on Friday:

- Firstly .. If we could PLEASE make sure we are all staying out of the players benches once we get our players on the ice. This is extremely important so we can keep everyone safe this season on and off the ice.

- There are still quite a few players on the ice without names on fronts of helmets. This is important to help our coaches get to know all of our players from the start, but also help them to keep everyone on the ice organized. Easiest and most visible way to do this is with some white hockey tape and a sharpie.

- Practices will continue until we make teams later into November to start playing games.

MEDICAL FORMS: I still have quite a few players without medical forms. You can email a scanned copy back to me and I am happy to print it for you, or I am more than happy to accept them at the rink as well. If you need to still access the form you can click this link, MEDICAL FORM LINK, or it can also be found on our website under "Forms". I have printed extra of these as well so if you need to fill one out at the rink just find me and I can get you one.

VOLUNTEER CHEQUES: Each FAMILY is required to provide your director with a Volunteer Cheque - POST DATED to March 31st 2027 for $200. If you have this at the rink, I would graciously accept them! I will provide more updates throughout the season on how to complete volunteer hours, fundraising being our main option. (If you have another child in another division you have supplied your cheque to already, please just let me know so I can make note of it.)

BACON SALES/ VOLUNTEER HOURS: Our Bacon fundraiser is currently live! Everyone should have seen the email from SMHA. Bacon sales are always a great success for our association and a super easy way to get all of your volunteer hours completed! (Sell 7 boxes and half of your hours are covered, sell 13 boxes and your hours are complete) Let me know if you need help with this at all. The deadline for orders is Thursday October 22^nd. Bacon Fundraiser Link (Ensure your child/player is added to your account so that orders can be properly tracked. All hockey families require a minimum of 8 volunteer hours throughout the season.)

STORM APPAREL: Stetter Storm Apparel orders are now open! There is lots of super fun apparel this year for both players and family members! First Deadline is coming up on October 4^th, second is October 25^th. Stettler Storm Apparel Link
