REMINDER: GOVERNMENT OF ALBERTA MASKS IN PUBLIC SPACES - AS OF SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 4TH
A reminder to our SMHA Parents and Players to please respect the new guidelines set out from the Alberta Government in regards to masks so we can continue to utilize the SRC.
Please have masks on when entering the SRC, they are not required on the ice but in all other public areas including the dressing room.

As many will be aware, the Government of Alberta has announced a new masking mandate for the Province of Alberta.
Effective 8 am Saturday, September 4, masks are required to be worn in all public spaces and workplaces in the province.
Until specific details or updates are provided pertaining to team sports, Hockey Alberta is interpreting the mandate as follows:
Face masks are not required by any player on the ice or on the players’ bench.
Face masks are not required by coaches or on-ice officials on the ice surface during sport/ physical activity.
Face masks are required by coaches and team staff while on the bench, and by all penalty/ timekeeping staff.
Face masks are required by everyone while in a dressing room.
Please note: Municipalities and individual facilities may have different interpretations of the new mandate. It is the responsibility of the Member organization or participating team to consult with the municipality or facility and be aware of any municipal and/ or facility-specific health and safety mandates that may differ from Hockey Alberta’s interpretation.
As additional guidance or clarification is made available, Hockey Alberta will provide updates.
