Good day,
Thank you to everyone who attended and volunteered at our tournament. It was very successful as an event and as a fundraiser. We had numerous compliments about the running of the tournament. Our team managers are logistical geniuses and it was their dedication that made the tournament run as well as it did. When you see Kristen, Rachel, Megan, Melissa, Christine, and Adriana, make sure to give them a pat on the back. Thank you to all our coaches who made it such a fun time for the kids and who moved boards early in the morning and came back to do it after their kids were done!
Due to the success of the tournament, we will be able to refund all the cash calls from earlier this year. Your manager will be reaching out to verify all team members e-transferred, that volunteer hours are complete, and how they would like their refund.
The season is coming to an end! Friday will be our last games and all teams will play on the BLUE ICE. Games will be running from 5:15pm-7:15pm, please check Team Snap for your team’s schedule.
Saturday will be an early morning wind up. We will have a fun practice at our regular times that will consist of full ice play. Check Team Snap to see what time your practice is at. While initially we had thought it would be nice for parents and siblings to play, our insurance will not permit this so it will just be the U9 kids on the ice. Practice will be followed by donuts, juice boxes, and coffee upstairs with music. We have ordered 200 Blokes donuts for siblings and parents to enjoy as well so please bring the whole family! Our meeting room will overlook the blue ice.
A few other items:
It has been an absolute pleasure seeing all the kids return to normal hockey this year. I have enjoyed being your director and as my sweet Noelley has another year in U9, I plan to return again next year. If you have any feedback on my personal management of the program, please shoot me an email or stop me at the rink. Feedback is the only way we grow and I want to continue to serve the minor sports as best I can.
Have a great spring!
Teela
