Hello U13 families,
Welcome to the 2020/2021 season. My name is Deidre Northrop and I am the director for this season. Email will be the best way to keep up with information so please contact me if you have questions or if you are missing information, my email is firstname.lastname@example.org and my cell is 403-430-0250, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. As many of you know this year may look a little different but your SMHA board is working very hard to try and get things organized and make this year awesome for our U11 players. The Stettler Rec Center has been working hard to follow their re-opening process to keep all patrons safe while in the SRC. Please remember there are extra rules and policies to follow to adhere to these guidelines. If we have patrons not following the guidelines there is potential that they will ask our leagues to not utilize their space so please make sure you and your children are fully aware of the guidelines and rules in place. You must check in with an SMHA representative upon entering the facility and confirm which change room your child is to go to and confirm that no one has any COVID 19 symptoms. There is to be ABSOLUTELY no congregating in the lobby, the only place you are permitted to view is on the bleachers, please take note of which bleachers are open and follow the directional arrows, we are not to be using the main doors, please use the side doors that indicate for "arena use." There is more information here http://www.stettler.net/public/data/documents/SRCSafetyFirstArenaUsageGuidelinesFINALpdf.pdf and there is an informative video here https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=637241026976056 . Please have your children come dressed to the rink as much as possible and remember that you will not be permitted to enter if you are more then 20 minutes early for your ice session. 1 parent is permitted to sit in the bleachers and watch your child, please do not let younger siblings run around the arena, they can be on the bleachers or they have access to the library. It is very important we follow and respect the SRC rules so we can continue to utilize these facilities. Thanks for your cooperation in this matter. Please watch for more information for team selection and skills development as it will all be released shortly. A huge thank you to all of the on-ice helpers the last few weeks, parent volunteers doing door screening, and to the board members who have worked so hard to get us up and running.
